Passion at The Crypt

Andrew Rafferty's exhibition in the Crypt Gallery of St Pancras Church, London has received critical acclaim. Shown over the Easter season, the 14 works were Rafferty's photographic interpretation of the Passion of Christ. Not only were the works all photographically based, but they were all self portraits. Rafferty first displayed a version of Passion at the Phoenix Gallery in Brighton in 2001, but for this exhibition Rafferty devised seven new works in response to the particular demands of the Crypt which is still a permanent 'residence' for some 400 souls.
